Terms of Service

EndHunger250 Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

EndHunger250 is a project of the End Hunger Network, in collaboration with the Nourish the American Dream campaign and the Albertsons Companies Foundation.

1. Acceptance of the Terms of Service

Welcome to EndHunger250.org (the “Site”), a project of the End Hunger Network (“EHN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site, including signing the Declaration of Independence from Hunger (the “Declaration”) and any related content or features. These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, which you can review here.

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Site, including by signing the Declaration, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site, or contact us with your concerns.

2. Changes to These Terms and the Site

The Site and the EndHunger250 campaign are works in progress, and we expect features and content to evolve over time. We may update the Site and these Terms at our discretion. Your continued use of the Site after we post updated Terms means you accept those changes.

3. Accessing the Site

We work to keep the Site available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee that it will be available at all times or free of errors. We are not liable for any unavailability of the Site or loss of data, including signature data, except as described in our Privacy Policy.

To sign the Declaration, you must provide accurate, current information through our signing form. We reserve the right to remove a signature or restrict access to the signing process if we believe, in our sole discretion, that the information provided is false, fraudulent, or submitted in violation of these Terms.

We manage your personal information according to our Privacy Policy.

4. Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding the Declaration and User Content, each defined below) are owned by the End Hunger Network and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You agree not to copy, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, or republish any of this content, except as permitted by the Site itself (for example, sharing a link to your own public signature).

The text of the Declaration of the End of Hunger in America (the “Declaration”) is owned by Albertsons Companies Foundation. EHN hosts the Declaration and operates a separate signing process for it on this Site under [INSERT: license/permission terms to be confirmed with Albertsons Companies Foundation].

This Site may display the names, logos, or trademarks of Albertsons Companies Foundation, Nourishing Neighbors, and other campaign partners (“Partner Marks”). Partner Marks are the property of their respective owners and are displayed on this Site with permission [INSERT: confirm permission status and any usage conditions with each partner]. Nothing on this Site grants you any right to use Partner Marks for any purpose.

5. Your Signature and User Content

When you sign the Declaration, you may submit your name, organization or title, general location, and a personal statement explaining why you are signing (collectively, “User Content”). The Declaration text itself is owned by Albertsons Companies Foundation, as described in Section 4. Your signature and any statement you submit are your own User Content, separate from the Declaration text, and are governed by this Section. You are solely responsible for your User Content, and you represent that it is accurate, that it is your own original statement or that you have the right to submit it, and that it does not violate these Terms or any law.

By submitting User Content for public display, you grant EHN and Albertsons Companies Foundation, jointly, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that User Content in connection with the Declaration and the EndHunger250 and Nourish the American Dream campaigns, including on the public signatory wall, in campaign communications and reporting, and in materials shared with campaign partners, in any media format. Granting this license directly to Albertsons Companies Foundation, rather than solely through EHN, is intended to let both organizations rely on and exercise the license without needing to coordinate through the other for routine campaign use. This license continues even if you later stop participating in the campaign, though you may still request that your listing be edited or removed as described in our Privacy Policy. This license does not transfer your underlying ownership of your statement, and you remain free to use or republish it yourself elsewhere. This license does not include using your name or User Content for fundraising solicitations, whether directed to you because you signed or included in materials used to solicit donations from others.

Separately, our signing form gives you the option to consent to having your name, title, and organization included in reports, presentations, or other materials that combine our signatory list with that of the Nourish the American Dream campaign, for delivery to Congress, the media, or the public. This is a distinct, opt-in choice from the license described above, and we will not include you in such combined reports or materials unless you have given that consent. Any inclusion is for identification purposes only and does not represent or imply that you endorse any specific legislation, policy, or organization.

We do not guarantee that any specific piece of User Content will be displayed or will continue to be displayed, and we may remove or decline to display any User Content at our discretion, including content that does not meet the Content Standards below.

6. Content Standards

Any statement or other content you submit through the Site must not:

  • Contain material that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, harassing, violent, hateful, or otherwise objectionable
  • Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or age
  • Infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right of another person
  • Violate the legal rights, including privacy rights, of others
  • Be false or likely to deceive, including misrepresenting your identity or affiliation with any organization
  • Promote or advocate for any unlawful act
  • Constitute commercial advertising, solicitation, or promotion unrelated to the Declaration
  • Be submitted as test content, placeholder text, or spam

We review submissions before they are displayed on the Site. Moderation decisions are made using our best judgment, but we cannot guarantee that every submission will be reviewed with perfect accuracy, and we cannot guarantee that we will identify or catch every piece of content that may violate these standards. If you believe a signatory statement violates these standards or your rights, please contact us using the information in Section 10.

7. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Site or the campaign, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use that feedback without any obligation to you.

8. Copyright Complaints

If you believe that User Content displayed on the Site infringes your copyright, please send us a written notice that includes:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  • Identification of the material you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it on the Site
  • Your contact information, including email address
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Please send copyright notices to info@endhunger.network.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Site, including reliance on any signatory statement or other User Content. You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or your violation of any third party's rights through content you submit.

10. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Site shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EHN regarding the Site and supersede any prior agreements. If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at info@endhunger.network .
