When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring/exit pages, and the date and time of your visit. We use this information for site administration and security purposes, such as measuring traffic, diagnosing technical problems, and detecting fraud or abuse. 2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Record and verify your signature on the Declaration of the End of Hunger in America
- Display your name, organization, location, and/or statement on the public signatory wall, if you have provided this information for that purpose
- Communicate with you about the campaign, including updates, invitations to participate further, and related End Hunger Network activities
- Understand the reach and impact of the campaign, including aggregate reporting on signatory sectors and locations
- Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Site
3. The Public Signatory Wall
Parts of this Site are designed to publicly display information about signatories, including your name, organization, general location, and any personal statement you choose to submit. Once this information is published to the public signatory wall, it is visible to anyone who visits the Site, including search engines and the media, and we cannot control how it is subsequently viewed, copied, or shared by others. We do not publish your email address, your exact street address, or any contact information you provide solely for internal communication purposes. If you would like your public listing removed or corrected, you may contact us using the information in Section 8.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:
Campaign Partners
EndHunger250 collaborates with partner campaigns and organizations working to end hunger, including the Nourish the American Dream campaign, an initiative coordinated by the Albertsons Companies Foundation. As part of this collaboration, we may share your name and organization (where provided) with Nourish the American Dream partners and Albertsons Companies Foundation for purposes of joint promotion, cross-campaign recognition, and coordinated outreach related to ending childhood and family hunger. We do not share your email address, exact location, or any other information you have not designated for public or partner-facing use without your consent. If you do not want your information shared with campaign partners in this way, you may contact us using the information in Section 8 to opt out.
No Fundraising Use
We will not use your name, organization, or signature for fundraising solicitations, either to you directly because you signed, or in materials used to solicit donations from others.
Combined Reports to Congress, Media, and the Public
Our signing form gives you the option to consent separately to having your name, title, and organization included in reports, presentations, or other materials that combine our signatory list with that of the Nourish the American Dream campaign, for delivery to Congress, the media, or the public. We will only include you in such combined materials if you have given that consent, and any inclusion is for identification purposes only and does not represent or imply that you endorse any specific legislation, policy, or organization.
Service Providers
We work with service providers that help us operate the Site and the signing process, such as form, database, and website hosting providers (including Tally, Airtable, Softr, and Duda, or their successors). These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own independent purposes.
Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, respond to a valid legal request, or protect the rights, property, or safety of EHN, our signatories, or the public.
Business Transitions
If the End Hunger Network is ever involved in a reorganization, merger, or transfer of its programs to another mission-aligned organization, signatory information may be transferred as part of that transition, subject to this Policy or a policy offering comparable protections.
5. Your Choices
- You may decline to provide any field not marked as required, though this may limit your ability to sign or appear on the public wall
- You may request that your public listing be edited or removed at any time
- You may opt out of email communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email we send
- You may opt out of having your information shared with campaign partners as described in Section 4
6. Children's Privacy
This Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
7. Data Retention and Security
We retain signatory information for as long as needed to operate the Declaration campaign and maintain a historical record of signatories, consistent with the purpose of this initiative. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Contact Us
